1. Goals

Introduction to the project

Smuf, a frontrunner in Poland's professional skating scooters sector, prided itself on delivering top-notch products to its fervent customer base. However, their digital presence didn't match the brand’s industry prominence. With an outdated website and lackluster performance, Smuf recognized the need for change and that's where Spotlab stepped in.

Our strategy revolved around three pivotal axes:

  • Rebranding: Align the e-commerce store with Smuf's standing in the industry, making it visually appealing and in tandem with the brand's identity.
  • User Experience (UX): Overhaul the UX design to ensure users could navigate seamlessly, find their desired products effortlessly and enjoy a superior shopping experience.
  • Advanced Functionalities: Equip the website with state-of-the-art features tailored to Smuf’s unique requirements.
  • Website Architecture: In order to help with better positioning in Google Search Engine, new website had to be developed with the best SEO standards.

3. Implementation

How was the project implemented?

Spotlab embarked on a comprehensive overhaul:

  • Intuitive Design: The Spotlab team meticulously sketched an intuitive UI in Figma. This design not only echoed Smuf's brand identity but also ensured that the site would rank favorably in search engines.
  • Custom E-commerce Functions: Keeping in mind the distinct requirements, Spotlab devised custom functionalities. These included: Introducing three distinct availability statuses for products, allowing customers to discern product accessibility at a glance.
    Employing AJAX technology to develop bespoke filters, enabling customers to see their filtered choices without requiring a page reload.

Results of our activities

The transformation was nothing short of remarkable:

  • Surge in Visibility: Post revamp, Smuf's website witnessed a staggering 270% rise in daily pageviews, catapulting from a mere 270 to a whopping 998.
  • Enhanced Customer Satisfaction: The rejuvenated interface resonated with the customers. The proof was in the frequent praises Spotlab received after customers made their purchases.
  • In a nutshell, Spotlab's collaboration with Smuf was not merely about redesigning a website. It was about reimagining an experience, reinforcing a brand's identity and revitalizing its digital footprint.
